Plant information
This 6” tall species is newer to Blue Stem and one of our personal favorites. Not one you’ll normally find at any garden centers, except for Blue Stem! Great in a dry, tough, salty area with a lot of sun. Often found in rock crevices in coastal areas on the shore. That doesn’t mean this species needs the beach to survive, dry depleted soils will generally do the trick.
Always do your own research first, but the leaves and seeds can be eaten raw or cooked. It’s reported the leaves have good umami.
