Plant information
Another native for the cut flower garden, heart-leaved aster with a lovely light blue flower with a yellow center that grows to around 3 feet in height.
While it prefers average to average-dry soils, it is quite happy with a wide range of light conditions, from nearly full sun to nearly full shade, with the best growth happening in part shade.
The daisy-like flowers attract a number of pollinators and are long lasting. This highly adaptable plant will work well in a mixed season bed, bridging the gap between summer and fall blooms with ease and simple beauty.
