Plant information:

Spotted Joe-Pye weed is a plant meant to draw your eye as much as it draws pollinators. This structural powerhouse has been documented to grow up to 10 feet tall in optimal conditions, but it usually tops out around 6 feet.

The purple-spotted stems support a multiple flat clusters of many small pink-purple flowers. The butterflies absolutely flock to this plant in bloom, so be sure to place this in a visible location in your garden.

Joe-pye has a very pleasant vanilla-like scent and has been suggested that steeping the dried flowers make for a lovely, fragrant tea.
