Rhododendron periclymenoides

Pink azalea

Pink azalea is a spring favorite in woodland gardens, with soft pink to lavender flowers that appear just as the forest understory comes alive. It prefers acidic soils and partial shade, where it blends effortlessly with ferns, sedges, and other woodland natives. Its open, upright habit keeps it from feeling heavy or overpowering.

The flowers are a welcome nectar source for native pollinators and hummingbirds, and the shrub offers lovely fall color later in the season. Pink azaleas brings a sense of ease and seasonal rhythm to the garden—never flashy, but always appreciated.
