Rhododendron periclymenoides

Pink azalea

Rhododendron periclymenoides (Pink azalea) is a deciduous shrub native to the eastern United States, primarily found from Massachusetts to Georgia. In a garden, it serves as a focal point or part of a mixed border. It typically reaches a height of 3 to 6 feet and prefers partial shade with moist, acidic soils.

This shrub provides nectar for hummingbirds and butterflies, and its structure offers shelter for small wildlife.
