Carex rosea

Rosy sedge

Rosy sedge is a fine-textured woodland sedge that thrives in shade and moist soils, forming soft clumps that work well as a lawn alternative in forested settings. It remains attractive throughout the growing season and integrates easily with spring ephemerals and woodland perennials.

Like many sedges, it supports caterpillars of native butterflies and moths, which are an essential food source for nesting birds. Its seeds are also eaten by small birds, adding to its quiet but important wildlife value.

Plants can be purchased in-person or online (with in-person pick-up).

All online orders will be ready for pick-up 24-72 hours after purchase. You will receive an email to let you know when your order is ready. We kindly ask that you pick-up any orders within one week of purchase.
