The Pineapple tomato is a large, prized heirloom beefsteak variety known for its sweet, fruity, low-acid flavor and striking yellow-gold skin with red marbling inside. These indeterminate plants produce massive fruits often weighing 1–2 lbs, with some exceeding 2 lbs, making them ideal for slicing on sandwiches or in salads.

 

Type: Indeterminate (vining), requiring staking or caging due to heavy fruit.

  • Maturity: 80–95 days.
  • Size: Plants can grow 6–8 feet tall, with fruit weighing over 1 lb.
  • Conditions: Thrives in full sun with consistent watering; requires warm soil (70–85°F) for germination.
  • Spacing: 24–36 inches apart.
