Tephrosia virginiana, wild goat's-rue, is a native North American perennial plant that produces clusters of pea-like pink flowers in the summer months. This plant typically grows to a height of roughly 12-18" and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil.

 

Wild goat's-rue is a valuable resource for pollinators such as butterflies and birds, while also serving as a host plant for the rare frosted elfin butterfly. This hardy, low-maintenance plant is a great addition to any garden or landscape, providing both beauty and ecological value.
