Eurybia divaricata
White wood aster
If you are looking to support a large number of pollinators, one of your best choices would be an aster. This lovely aster with dainty white flowers is a fall bloomer, suporting migrating butterflies before their long flights.
These plants prefer partial shade to full shade and grow about 2-3' tall depening on their location. They are also tolerant of a wide range of soil types and are drought tolerant. Eurybia divaricata cannot quite be classified as deer and rabbit "resistant" but they are somewhat unpalatable to wildlife.
This perennial has great flower production and excellent disease resistance. If you have a shady area that could use some cheerful white flowers, give white wood aster a try! These look best in a group of 3 or more.
