Thalictrum dioicum
early meadow-rue
Thalictrum dioicum, early meadow-rue, produces delicate, airy clusters of greenish white flowers in early spring to early summer. This plant reaches a height of around 2 to 3 feet and thrives in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil.
The early meadow-rue attracts a variety of native bees, including bumblebees and mining bees, as well as butterflies and moths such as the eastern tiger swallowtail and the hummingbird clearwing. Furthermore, the plant serves as a host plant for the larvae of various species, including the black-dashed hyphen.
Plants can be purchased in-person or online (with in-person pick-up). All online orders will be ready for pick-up 24-72 hours after purchase. You will receive an email to let you know when your order is ready. We kindly ask that you pick-up any orders within one week of purchase.
