Hypericum mutilum
Dwarf St. John’s wort
Hypericum mutilum is a petite but powerful plant that packs a punch in your garden. With its cheerful yellow flowers and bright green foliage, this herbaceous perennial thrives in wetter soils, often found near wetlands, marshes, or stream banks.
It loves the sun but can tolerate some shade, making it a flexible addition to a variety of landscapes. But note that the fall color is incredible when its located in the sun. Insects flock to it, particularly pollinators like bees, butterflies, and moths, who find its nectar irresistible.
Whether it’s attracting pollinators or just adding a splash of yellow to your yard, Hypericum mutilum is a delightful, low-maintenance plant that keeps the ecosystem buzzing.
