Spirea alba is commonly known as white meadowsweet, but perhaps a better name would be Wet-Feet-Sweet (you can tell I’m not asked to name plants very often!)
This dainty shrub likes wet soil and sunny locations, although it can tolerate well-drained soils as well. The large plumes of small white flowers have an almost fuzzy appearance due to the unusually long stamens. The foliage is petite, thin lance-shaped leaves protrude from a stiff, reddish-brown stem.
